POST-VIRAL SYNDROMES: ??? Pompe Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, polyneuritis, polymyalgia ....

Late one night about a year ago, I was watching a Discovery Health Channel report on a child with a very similar picture of the Asian child and the elderly lady I have mentioned above. This show caught my attention. I said to myself I wonder if this child in the Discovery Health Channel show had flu or colds at the beginning of the picture of the disease, and right after I questioned myself, the narrator said that the only thing this child had at the beginning were flu symptoms which got gradually worse. The parents took the child everywhere searching for the cure. Finally, they ended up at the Mayo Clinic and after a lot of testing they concluded that this disease has a name but no cure . They called it POMPE DISEASE.

TORTICOLLIS (CONGENITAL) Experts are not certain as to the cause of this kind of Torticollis, some say that babies are born with neck problems due to mal-position in uterus (fetus in the wrong position while in the womb) and others say this condition may be related to injury of the neck and stretching of the muscles of the baby's neck at birth.
The baby's neck is twisted and head is deviated or tipped to one side while the chin is turned to the other side, there is often muscle swelling, shortening of the neck and neurological symptoms due to compression of the nerve roots. Alternative treatments (needle-less acupuncture) combined with manual therapy has been very successful in our facility, curing this condition in about 4 to 5 visits in babies suffering from mild to moderate TORTICOLLIS.

THE PERSISTENT LONG TERM HIP PAIN
Ms. V. has a history of hip pain for almost 10 years, progressively getting worse to the point of walking stooped forward and using a cane. Over the years she tried various treatments with minimal improvement. In June of 2013 the pain got worse, on the scale of zero to ten, her pain was 9. She was taking a lot of analgesics with NO results. Looking on line, she found our facility, She made an appointment here at CIR Physical Therapy in Caldwell N.J. and after a thorough evaluation, she was treated using an approached that was recently developed at our facility "The AG technique"named after the initials of the clinician who developed it. To her surprise, the pain got significantly better on the first treatment. Her walking improved dramatically and after 5 treatments her recovery has been remarkable. Now with improved posture and reduced pain she is ambulating intermittently gait free. (without the cane}.
